My skin gets really bad when I travel thanks to stress and bacteria, and I’m sure most people can relate. Adding sunscreen to the mix makes things even worse, but after traveling in Australia I realized how crucial wearing sunscreen is.
I was on the lookout for a lightweight, mineral-based sunscreen that would also help nourish my skin (I like traveling with carryon only, so try to minimize the amount of liquid products I need to take), and I found this highly reviewed brand has an Amazon Prime Day deal. It’s a carryon friendly size too!
As much as I love real books, it’s not realistic to lug them around on travels. They take up a lot of space in luggage, they weigh a lot and they are easily damaged by water.
The Kindle Paperwhite is neither of those things. It’s light, thin and waterproof, so you can take it everywhere you go (including the pool)!
For those who love to journal on their travels, why not try the Kindle with a digital notebook?
I’ve been considering a digital notebook a lot lately, as my pile of travel journals has grown quite massive and I’m paranoid that I’ll lose them. I once left a journal on a plane, and it was possibly the most stressful hour of my life waiting for the airline to look for it (luckily I did get it back, but I’ve been anxious about losing my travel memories ever since).
So having a digital copy that I can back up is extremely appealing, especially since the Kindle Scribe comes with a pen so it’ll feel like I’m still hand writing my travel experiences.
If digital notebooks are a hard no for you though, check out my physical paper journals designed for writers who travel.
If you don’t mind writing on a keyboard and want a bigger screen to watch movies than your phone but find your laptop too heavy and bulky, why not get a tablet?
The Amazon Fire HD is almost half off right now for Prime Day, so now is the best time to get it if you want a tablet for travel.
If you’re more of an Apple person, the iPad mini has a great deal right now for Prime Day.
Also, if your phone runs out of battery (happens to me ALL the time when traveling), you’ll have a backup device to use on WiFi (upgrade to add cellular for only $50 more) AND a 12 MP front and back camera. (It’s small enough to carry around all day.)
It sounds like the ultimate travel hack lifesaver!
Travel is when I most appreciate high quality, noise canceling headphones, so snag this great discount if you’re looking for a new pair.
Planes and trains can be really loud, so if you want to listen to music, an audiobook or movie, cheap headphones will make it hard for you to drown out the noise.
I’ve even used noise canceling headphones while staying in a hostel (or recently, a hut on an overnight hike in New Zealand) and had a snoring roommate.
Especially with winter coming, chances are you’re looking for a warm destination for your next trip. This super portable, rechargeable fan is a great option if you struggle with heat.
Also, don’t forget to hydrate!
If the ideal vacation for you involves camping and being surrounded by nature (same!), Coleman tents are on sale for Prime Day. Dark room technology tents can be pricey, so now is the time to get this tent.
Both the 4-person and 6-person models are on sale right now.
This is, in my opinion, the best budget lightweight tent for backpacking. I used Cloud-Up 3, the 3-person tent, while hiking in New Zealand, and it was amazing quality. Held up in extreme wind and rain, and was super light, especially split between 2 people carrying it.
It’s comparable to the big brands that cost several hundred dollars more but at a fraction of the price, especially with the Prime Day deal. Since I sold my tent when leaving New Zealand, I’m buying myself a new one for my next backpacking adventures!
I got this hammock for my upcoming trip to South America and am really excited to use it! I was looking for something lightweight, as I’ll be traveling with a backpack, and also with a net to protect me from mosquitoes.
Okay, hear me out. This may not seem travel-related, but I saw this Amazon Prime Day deal and thought it would be so cool to take this test and travel to the countries your ancestors are from.
I’m lucky to know where my ancestors are from (can be traced for generations on both sides to Poland), and it’s a lot more meaningful to travel to where your roots are.
The double spinning wheels will make navigating through crowds with this suitcase easy, and the carry-on tote can ride on top of the suitcase. This luggage set would solve so many of my airport struggles!
